Another Great Kitchen

This kitchen looks lovely, doesn't it? I would have skipped the window treatment though. Don't you wish we could see the whole room? via
Have a great weekend. It's hot again in New Jersey and very humid. xo

Looks to me as though the window treatment may have been for privacy at night (to cover the whole window area) . . . but I would have chosen something else especially for behind the sink.

I would have chosen blinds of some sort.

I like a galley kitchen ... Not sure why. My sister has those blinds above her sink, no issues. They soften the room.

Ahh, the window treatment dilemma. I myself prefer as little as possible on windows, especially windows as beautiful as the ones in your posted photo.....but one does not know what is outside that window....maybe direct sunlight or something else. Like others have said I would have picked a different treatment, probably a roller shade or roman shades. But who am I to give advice as I find I can't figure out my own window treatment situation.

We now live in very close proximity to our neighbors with lots of windows and lots of direct sunlight which can destroy and fade floors, art and furnishings, also there is the fact that the neighbors can see everything that's going on in our cottage. Shutters and blinds are having to be ordered, it makes me a bit sad because they close in the space but they do give us privacy from curious eyes and protection against the sun. We are also going to plant several trees which probably will reach an acceptable growth just as we are about to die. The blessings of living in the high desert.
